The Ndebele murals are all done by the women of the Ndebele people, this tradition is passed on from mother to daughter. However, all the women have their own Ndebele clan names. Therefore, their own style and method; that’s why each and every Ndebele art and design is unique.

The razor blade pattern symbolizes the importance of the razor in the creation of their beadwork, traditional hair shavings and male circumcision.
